Earn Your Degree From TESU

Learn to fly and earn your degree. At Freeflight Aviation, we’ve partnered with Thomas Edison State University. We award credits for a variety of FAA licenses and certifications through our Professional Learning Review (PLR) process. You can see the full list at the Thomas Edison State University website. Scroll down to where it says Aviation.

Here are the credits we award for pilot credentials:

• FAA Private: Nine credits
• FAA Instrument: Eight credits
• FAA Commercial: Eight credits
• FAA CFI: Six credits
• FAA CFII: Six credits
• FAA ATP: 35 credits (that includes private, instrument, and commercial)

We offer an associate's in aviation flight technology. You can also earn a bachelor's in aviation flight technology. If a student had their private, instrument, and commercial licenses, they could complete all of the remaining degree requirements entirely online.

On top of the credits we award for FAA credentials, we also accept up to 90 credits from junior or community colleges plus up to 114 credits from four-year colleges or universities.

We also award up to 57 credits for different certificates. This includes the FAA Airframe certificate. You can also earn credits for Powerplant certificates.
